Manaaki New Zealand Scholarships at the University of Otago
The New Zealand Government offers full scholarships to eligible citizens from developing countries to study abroad at a New Zealand education institution or university – including the University of Otago.
These include full tertiary scholarships for eligible international students to study full-time undergraduate and postgraduate study at a New Zealand university.
Full scholarships cover costs such as tuition fees, return airfares, insurance, basic living costs, set-up costs in New Zealand and more
Finding recommended subjects and available courses at Otago
Priority is given to applicants who choose one of the Manaaki New Zealand Scholarships approved subjects (or sectors), according to the country you are from. More information about recommended subjects is on the Manaaki New Zealand Scholarships website:

Application period
On 1 February 2024 the portal will open at 12:00am (midnight) New Zealand time. On 29 February 2024 the portal will close at 12:00pm (midday) New Zealand time.
You can submit your application any time between the opening date and the closing deadline. Deadlines are in New Zealand Daylight Saving Time (NZDT). Applications close at midday, not midnight.

How to apply for a Manaaki New Zealand Scholarship
The Manaaki New Zealand Scholarships are fully funded NZ government scholarships available to international students in developing countries for full-time undergraduate or postgraduate studies.
If you have connections with students in eligible countries (Asia; Latin America; Africa; the Pacific: and the Caribbean), the International Office encourages you to share that the online application window is open from February 1 to February 28, 2024 (https://www.nzscholarships.govt.nz/) for students intending to commence studies here in 2025 in specific priority subjects.
