MSA Charitable Trust Macroeconomics PhD Scholarships

The University of Auckland is now inviting applications from post-graduate students for one of the prestigious MSA Charitable Trust PhD Scholarships The scholarships are open to new incoming PhD students.

ABOUT THE SCHOOL:

The University of Auckland is New Zealand’s leading university where some 35% of the country’s top ranked academic researchers are based. The Business School is among 1% of business schools globally to achieve Triple Crown accreditation and it has on its faculty some of the highest ranked economists in the world.

SCHOLARSHIP DESCRIPTION:

The purpose of the MSA Charitable Trust PhD Scholarships Scholarship is to fund Economics students who are admitted to the PhD programme at the Business School to undertake research in the field of Macroeconomics. Applications in applied topics in the fields of well-being economics, behavioural economics, political economy and public economics are especially encouraged. Candidates will be supervised by the MSA Charitable Trust Chair of Macroeconomics and the scholarship will be held within the Graduate School of Management at the University of Auckland Business School.

FUNDING:

Up to two full-time scholarships will be awarded for a period of up to three years, and will be of the value of a tax-free stipend of up to NZ $30,000 per annum. The Scholarships will be paid as a fortnightly stipend.
