University of Luxembourg PhD Position in Finance
The program follows the standard US format with rigorous coursework in the first year (depending on pre-qualifications) and for the remaining, up to four years, work on research projects that will make up the final thesis. All courses are in English and taught by local faculty and visiting scholars from renowned universities/business schools (e.g., University of Chicago, LBS etc.)
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
We are looking for candidates with (A) a genuine interest in Finance, Economics or Statistics/Econometrics, (B) excellent quantitative and computational skills, and (C) a good command of written and spoken English who (D) already hold a research-oriented Master’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Financial engineering, Econometrics, Statistics or other related fields (ideally with a quantitative focus).
Candidates who do not yet hold a research-oriented Master’s degree in the aforementioned fields are also encouraged to apply. Candidates with a degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering or another quantitative subject are particularly encouraged to apply.
