Determinants of provincial competitiveness in Vietnam

Abstract:

In Vietnam, the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) is used to assess the attractiveness of the locality to investors. However, to date, there have not been many domestic studies on PCI in general and on assessing the impact of factors affecting PCI in particular. Therefore, this study was conducted to assess the impact of factors affecting the provincial competitiveness index. Through the aggregated data set and analysis of 63 provinces and cities in the country in the years 2016 to 2019, the study has shown the impact of factors affecting the provincial
competitiveness index and recommended a solution to improve the PCI index for localities.
