Description of PhD research project

My PhD research examines how economic factors shape healthcare inequalities in non-communicable disease (NCD) care among older adults in low- and middle-income countries, particularly Vietnam. The project aims to identify key economic determinants of inequality, assess the effects of health and social policies, and evaluate potential equity-focused interventions. Methodologically, it combines systematic review, quantitative policy analysis, and economic evaluation, including quasi-experimental and modelling approaches. The expected contribution is to generate policy-relevant evidence to support more equitable, accountable, and inclusive health systems for ageing populations
