Abstract:
This study is conducted to measure the influence of Trust, which includes Trust in Technology, Trust towards Service Provider, and Interpersonal Trust level; and Risk, which is inclusive of Perceived Risk and Risk Attitude over the adoption of E-wallets in Vietnam. While Trust in Technology, Trust towards Service Provider, and Perceived Risk were measured using direct method through three sets of Likert-scale questions; Risk Attitude and Interpersonal Trust level were measured indirectly through a Holt & Laury lottery game and two interpersonal trust level test questions. The binary model was applied to analyze the influence of those main variables as well as the demographics variables to find out how they affect the adoption of E-wallets. The results obtained indicate that Trust in Technology is statistically significantly influencing the adoption of E-wallets. This result is also in line with previous papers conducted in the past.
