Description of PhD research project
This research project investigates whether the development of an inclusive financial system effectively alleviates poverty and fosters economic growth at the micro-level in Vietnam. Using multiple data waves from the Vietnam Household Living Standards Survey (VHLSS), the study examines the dynamic relationship between specific dimensions of financial inclusion, multidimensional poverty and household income. By disaggregating financial access into distinct tools rather than relying on a single macro-level index, this project aims to provide nuanced empirical evidence that can help optimize national financial inclusion strategies.
